Special Edition Momento - “Convention AA “Pocket Hug” Coin
Dear All,
Hoping that we find you all well and in readiness for our forthcoming and ever closer second Mallorca AA International Convention.
We wanted to make you aware of a very special opportunity that you may wish to take up at our event.
There will be a lovely, special commemorative convention “Pocket Hug” coin available to purchase this year.
These can be purchased for 5 euros each.
If you spend 20 euros or more on Raffle Tickets you will get a free coin.
The coins can be purchased at our convention registration desk and also from the raffle tickets desk.
It is most important to mention that there is absolutely no profit being made by the supplier of these coins and in fact they are presenting our convention administration with a small amount from the purchase which will go towards our convention expenses as well as our plan to carry the message to the alcoholic who still suffers.

Protecting our Anonymity at the Convention
Dear All,
This is just a gentle reminder that we all take care when taking photographs or video footage during the convention and that we take every precaution to protect our fellow delegates from inadvertently appearing in photos or on film where they may possibly have their Anonymity compromised.
Obviously, with this being a holiday destination and the coming together of many friends there will of course be holiday type snaps taken and this is entirely reasonable.
Many photos will be taken throughout the course of the convention and I feel sure that we will all respect each other's anonymity when it comes to attending AA meetings and activities where AA materials are in obvious sight.
As with all our comings together, be it at meetings, conventions or assemblies we ask that we all observe our yellow Anonymity card.

Igniting our Convention Candle
Dear All,
May we confirm that the official lighting of our convention Sobriety candle will take place at our event opening ceremony on Saturday 5th October 2024.
Although, as you are aware our convention meetings and activities will in fact commence from Thursday 3rd October with an early bird meeting.
The reason for the lighting of the Sobriety candle and in actual fact the official opening ceremony taking place on the Saturday is to accommodate the significant number of our fellows who can only arrive at our event on Saturday morning and some of these fellows are from our home groups here in Mallorca. We felt it only fair to allow them the opportunity to be part of such a significant occasion as the igniting of our convention candle.
We are sure you will fully appreciate and agree with our considerations in making this decision.

Service Coordinator's Message - 8th August 2024
Good Day to you where ever you are in the world,
We very much look forward to welcoming you to our 2nd edition of the Mallorca International Convention starting on 3rd October 2024. It’s just under two months until we open our doors and hearts to you all once again. How exciting!
As most will be aware there are a number of service positions available during the event. We are particularly in need of members willing to be secretary at the many meetings that will take place. If you are keen in getting involved please reply to this email with your attendance dates and times preferable to you. We have meetings running all the way from early morning until midnight on most nights.
Before the convention starts we would like to get most, if not all of the 3rd, 4th and 5th October positions filled. So please prioritise your offer of service during these days. This will allow other members who aren’t on this email to be apart also.
In the mean time we do hope your summer has started off well and very much look forward to seeing you all in the not so distant future.
