Registration
Registration for the event will take place at the venue on the weekend of the convention.
The registration fee is 15 €uros and payable on the day of your registration.
One day attendees will only have to pay a registration fee of 6 €uros.

Q. Whats the best method of travel from the airport to Puerto Pollensa?
A. Check our Getting There page, you will find information and varying methods of transport available from the airport and on to Puerto Pollensa.
Q. Is there easy local transport available?
A. Yes, there are good local taxi services available and the numbers are to be found on our convention leaflet. There is also a very good and frequent bus service not far from the main hotel complex.
Q. Are there parking facilities within the hotel complex?
A. Yes, there is large car parking area at the hotel and this exclusively for hotel guests and hotel visitors.
Q. Will all the hotel facilities be available to use?
A. Yes, all standard hotel facilities will be available for use during your stay.
Q. Will it be an alcohol free environment at the hotel?
A. No, the Convention will share the hotel with other other holiday makers / guests and the hotel bar facilities will be open as normal.
Accessibility
Q. Are there disabled facilities available at the hotel?
A. Yes, the hotel has full facilities for disabled persons.
Q. Can I request special seating at the meetings?
A. Yes, we will be pleased to try and accomodate those with hearing, sight or accessibility issues at the front of the speaker halls. Please inform one of our convention assistants who will be happy to arrange this.
Q. Are the AA meetings open or closed?
A. The main hall AA speaker meetings are Open all other AA meetings are Closed.
Health
Q. Can the hotel cater for special dietary requirements?
A .Yes, if you liaise with the hotel prior to your arrival then the hotel will endeavour to meet your dietary requirements.
Q. Is there easy access to medical services should they be required?
A. Yes, in addition to the Spanish Health Service there is a local English speaking private Doctor, see below in Useful Contacts. This is available 24 hours.
Convention Registration and Payment
Q. Can I register on the day and where do I go for that?
A. You can register on the day of your arrival at the Convention and there will be a registration desk sited on the first floor.
Q. How do I pay the Convention registration fee?
A. The 15 € registration fee can be paid in cash on the day.
Q. Are there any extra costs at the Convention?
A. Other than the Convention registration fee there are no other obligatory costs.
Whats On
Q. Do you have an itinerary / program schedule for the Convention?
A. See the What's On page. You will be given an itinerary/ program leaflet when you register at the Convention.
Q. Will there be any special AA workshops activities during the convention?
A. There will be AA workshops during the convention and the details can be found on our convention itinerary / program leaflet.
Q. Will there be Al -Anon and Al-Ateen participation?
A. At this convention there will be Al-Anon meetings, there are no Al-Ateen meetings planned.
Q. Will there be any other AA meetings outside of the hotel complex?
A. During the period of the Convention the normal Puerto Pollensa will be held within the hotel complex. All other AA Mallorca meetings before or after the Convention will be held as normal and details can be found on the Convention website.
Q. Will there be Sobriety Birthday celebrations during the Convention?
A. Yes, we hope to celebrate with those members with ‘Sobriety’ birthdays occuring during the Convention.
Q. Will there be entertainment during the Convention?
A. Yes, there will entertainment / shows during the evenings of the Convention.
Q. Will there be other activities?
A. Yes, early morning yoga, meditation and exercise sessions will be held at the local beach or within the hotel gardens.
Other AA Questions
Q. Can I get involved in AA Convention service activities?
A. Other than the main hall speaker meetings everyone is welcome to participate in chairing AA meetings or any other AA activities. Contact Us if you would like to volunteer.
Q. Will it be possible to have one to one meetings?
A. If during your time at the Convention you feel you would like a one to one meeting with another AA member please, make that known to one of our convention assistants who will be pleased to make arrangements.
Q. Will it be possible to contact someone from AA 24 hours during the Convention?

Q. Are there any specific Do’s or Don’ts during the Convention?
A. As we know there are no Do’s or Don’ts in AA we are all here in fellowship and friendship and feel sure that complete respect will be shown to everyone within the Convention and to those who are within our immediate vicinity.
Q. How will we Identify AA Convention Visitors, Assistants and Al-Anon members whilst maintaining anonymity?
A. On registering for the Convention you will be issued with a discreet colour coded lanyard and this will identify all AA visitors. Also, our convention Committee members and assistants will have a separate colour to allow for easy identification and there to offer any help or answer your questions. Al-Anon members will also have their own coloured lanyard and these are available when registering at the Al-Anon desk on the first floor of the hotel. This we hope this will ensure your confidence in protecting all of our anonymity.
